Curated Live Repertoire & Stock Sets

Sophisticated. Soulful. Unforgettable.

A curated menu of ready-made sets you can make your own — and the full repertoire behind them.

The Soul Lounge live on stage

About the Band

A male-vocal-led five or six-piece as standard — playing the room, not a fixed set.

A note on the sets below — the stock sets listed throughout are examples only. They're a picture of how an evening can flow, not a fixed menu: every song can move between sets, guest numbers can be added, and the band shapes the night to the room. Treat them as a starting point, and just ask for anything you'd like.

The Soul Lounge is a male-vocal-led five or six-piece as standard, performing from a 200+ song catalogue rather than a fixed set — reading the room and shaping the night as it goes. Soul and Motown sit at the heart of it, with a deep seam of jazz and funk running through, and the repertoire is always growing.

The band scales to the occasion: solo and duo options, a three-piece, the standard five or six, right through to a full ten-piece. Where a client would like more modern or female-led repertoire, a guest or additional vocalist can front the band — the regular vocal taking a back seat, or singing backing vocals, entirely as you prefer.

Two further options sit alongside the standard offer (see Special Sets below). The Reggae / Bob Marley repertoire can be blended into any set for a change of colour, or taken as a theme in its own right. And The Beatles can be handled two ways: the band performing favourite Beatles numbers in its own style, or a separate, specially-sourced Beatles ensemble brought in alongside.

Part One — The Stock Sets

How to use these: pick the stock set that matches your event, read it top to bottom, and swap any song you'd rather not have for one from the Swap-ins beneath it. That's your set list — built in five minutes. You tweak; you don't write from scratch.

These sets are a starting point, not a boundary. Any song in the Full Repertoire can sit in any set — and if you don't see a song by one of the artists on our list that you'd like, do feel free to ask.

Special Sets & Options

Extra repertoire that sits alongside the three areas — blend it in, or take it as a theme of its own.

S1

The Reggae Set

A best-of Bob Marley, with the roots that surround him.

A warm, feel-good change of pace. Think of this as extra repertoire as much as a set — a few numbers blended into whatever you've chosen, or the whole thing taken as a theme. Lovely for a sun-soaked daytime wedding or drinks reception, a summer party, or a festival crowd. Marley at the core, with the associated reggae and ska classics around him.

Bob Marley — Core

  2. Redemption Song
  3. Stir It Up
  4. Satisfy My Soul
  5. Could You Be Loved
  6. Three Little Birds (Don't Worry)
  7. Waiting in Vain
  8. Jammin'
  9. No Woman No Cry
  10. Small Axe
  11. Roots Rock Reggae

Blend a handful into any of the sets above, or take the whole theme — however suits the day.

Special Option · Enquire

The Beatles Ensemble

Two ways to do it — in our own style, or a world-class ensemble brought in.

Solo & duoFour-piece tributeString sectionOr in our own stylePriced per event

The simplest route: the band performs its favourite Beatles numbers in the Soul Lounge style, folded straight into any set at no extra cost. Nothing to arrange.

Beyond that, a separate Beatles ensemble can be sourced — external to the band, scaled to the occasion. That runs from solo and duo, up to a world-class four-piece with authentic costumes and period equipment covering all eras, and a string section accompanying where the room calls for it.

The full ensemble works beautifully as a string-led daytime centrepiece at a wedding — a distinct, elegant moment set apart from the soul-and-funk evening — or as the marquee element of a society or corporate event.

Because the performers are sourced in, the ensemble is bespoke and priced per event — arrangements and personnel built around your brief and budget. Just tell us which end of the scale appeals and we'll shape it from there.

Enquire and we'll shape it to your event
Part Two — The Full Repertoire

From timeless soul and Motown to floor-filling funk, jazz, classic pop, rock, reggae and modern favourites — the complete curated menu, for anyone who wants to browse everything or build their own. The repertoire spans the 1950s to today and is forever expanding. If you don't see a certain song by one of the artists on our list that you'd like, do feel free to ask.

How the personnel works here: the standard band performs modern and female-led numbers as it stands. For a longer run of that repertoire, a guest or additional vocalist can front the band, with the regular vocal taking a back seat or backing vocals — just ask when you enquire and we'll shape the line-up to your event.

The Soul Lounge performs from this catalogue rather than a fixed set list — reading the room, responding to your guests, and shaping the atmosphere across the whole event. The list grows all the time, so do ask for anything you don't see.
